Recording - vocal

Today, I tried to record the vocal of one of the song - Night. I borrowed the KSM44 and booked one of the project room to do the recording. Also, I use Logic Pro X as the DAW.

There were a few problems about my first vocal recording. First of all, the vocal's voice was not in a good condition. It makes the recording stage became very difficult as the KSM44 is a very sensitive condenser mic which can record all the details of the vocal. All the off-pitch and shaky voice was being recorded clearly. It makes the post production of the vocal's track becomes extremely difficult. And some distortion happened in the recordings which cannot be fixed in the post production stage.

Also, I tried to do the mixing and find it very difficult to balance all the elements. I used to do mixing for movie or short music piece, so I do not know how to actually balance the whole song and all these track. And I have some problem in tuning the vocal track because of the unrepairable distortion that happened in the recording. I think I need to record it one more time.
